Raven's Veil (14x11 - oil on cradled wood panel): This painting was originally created for a gallery show celebrating crows and their importance in folklore and art. I love crows because they are so clever, and I love to watch them interact with the world. It is often said they have the intelligence of a young child. So I decided to explore the relationship between humans and corvids by creating a portrait of a young girl, donning a crow's mask -- a simple portrait that attempts to embody the essence and mystery of this creature.
