"Kiss the Wind" (24x30 - oil on canvas. I titled this painting after one of the lines in a poem by Lucille Clifton titled "blessing the boats" (included in the images above).  Kiss the Wind continues my exploration of relationships, those between people and nature, and especially the unitive power of water. 
 
FRAMING
Unless otherwise stated, all pieces are unframed so that you may select a frame that suits your preferences. Some pieces are painted on gallery-wrapped canvas which means the canvas is wrapped around a thicker frame. I usually finish these pieces with either a solid color used within the painting or I paint the image around the sides of the frame. On this piece in particular, the sides are painted red because that was the color of the underpainting. I'm happy to paint it a different color upon request.
