I had read my daughter a story book that was simply a series of pictures with no words. It was up to us as the viewers to fill in the storyline. I thought it would be fun to do this on a small scale first before attempting on a larger scale. So this is a series of paintings titled "Journey to the Sea". I imagined it from the perspective of someone walking away from the city at dusk to visit the sea.
