Halcyon Days (40x30 oil on canvas) - When I shared an image of this painting with a friend, she said it reminded her of a couple we used to see at the beach when we were little kids. They were a pair who seemed to live life like each day was a vacation, soaking in the warmth of their shared existence. Painting them gave me a strong sense of nostalgia for those halcyon days of youth, accompanied by the brief glimpses of what it was like to be in their orbit.
