"Abandon" 30x40 oil on canvas. Themes of water are a continued thread in most of my paintings. We turn to water for many practical needs in life but it is the more esoteric needs that interest me. We are also drawn to water for communion with others and then a need for solitude, for a chance to change a mood or in the case of this painting, to forget the world for a bit and jump into the moment.
