"Sweater Weather" 36x48 oil on canvas. Dog beach is one of my favorite subjects to paint. It lends itself to renderings of a few of my favorite subjects: the figurative form, dogs, and seascapes. As an artist, I am most intrigued but color and shapes, the two elements in art and life that immediately draw our attention. With this approach, I am working toward quieting the details and concentrating on the bigger shapes in a scene and the color scheme that accompanies it.
